Keep Your Craft Supplies Organized

Posted

Crafters often find themselves swamped with knickknacks overflowing out of boxes and closets. My mother is an avid crafter, and she has a slew of boxes and tins she utilizes to contain all of her various tchotchkes. She keeps her buttons in a clear glass jar, she keeps small foam balls in a cookie jar, she uses various tins for news clippings and magazine clippings. It’s incredible that she even has an idea of where her supplies are - and often I think that she really might not?!

I’m trying to convince her to make the small leap to using our jars. Using Parkway’s jars would help her in organizing everything in a way that actually makes sense. She could label her jars easily and store them in a much more compact fashion. Plus, the jars are airtight, so she’ll be able to preserve her more fragile goods (like her fabric clippings and news articles).

And then there’s the times that she’ll spill out the contents of one of her “receptacles.” Mom’ll often knock over some sort of open bottle, releasing thousands of some sorts of odds and ends. And don’t get me started on the time the glitter bottle spilled onto the carpet. Wouldn’t it be convenient if all of your crafting supplies wouldn’t spill from a slight nudge? Aren’t lids an excellent invention?

Anyways, I might not be able to convince my dear Mom to make the small leap to jars that are uniform, lidded, and easy to label. But I’d recommend switching to our jars to any crafter out there. So contain the clutter! And keep crafting!
