Selecting BPA Free Jars is a Smart Choice

Posted

We've spoken before about our BPA free jars and the benefits of choosing them for storing and packaging your products. With so many BPA free products being offered on the market, it can be difficult finding the right size of jar at the right price. At Parkway Plastics, we are dedicated to providing outstanding jars at affordable prices, so that you - the customer - gets the most for your money.

Identifying plastic jars with BPA can be difficult, but by looking at the recycle codes on each one, you can get an idea of whether or not it contains BPA. Shampoo bottles, clear food jars, and cooking oil bottles often carry recycle code #3 on them, and these could possibly contain BPA and other phthalates that are used in plastic manufacturing. Bottles with recycle code #7 could also contain bisphenol A, and these plastics include three- and five-gallon water bottles and other miscellaneous plastics that don't fit into the other six recycling categories.

Parkway is committed to providing BPA free jars, and removing the worry about harmful chemicals seeping into your food or beauty products. Sorting through all the information regarding plastics and recycling can seem like an insurmountable challenge, and if you have questions, please feel free to call us and ask. Please keep in mind that our plant is closed for maintenance until this Sunday, July 12th, but our online store is always open and our customer service line is available. We look forward to helping you!
