Plastic Jar Lingo: When your jar gives you "lip"

"Regular Wall" Straight Sided Plastic Jars vs. "Thick Wall" Straight Sided Plastic Jars - The Difference is in the "Lip!"

Wholesale, Manufacturer-Direct, Regular Wall, Straight Sided, Single Wall Plastic Jars manufactured by Parkway Plastics are unique in the fact that they have a visible "lip" around the circumference of the jar that the cap sits on.

This lip sticks out from the side wall of the jar and if you run your finger from the bottom of the jar to the top of the plastic jar your finger will catch on this "lip."

This lip is important because it helps to protect the side wall of the jar during shipping and storage and it also is what helps to secure a tamper evident shrink sleeve when one is used. Visually it is also one of the easier ways to tell our "regular wall" jars from our "thick wall jars."

So, while we can promise that our plastic jars will never talk back to you, as you can see from the pictures below we can't promise that that your straight sided plastic jars won't give you "lip."
