Heat Seal Liners for Plastic Caps

  • Need special equipment to apply liner: Heat Induction Machine
  • Layers of material
  • Paper or foam backing
  • Foil piece on top (bonded together)
  • Liners we stock are made to adhere to many different materials (PP and Styrene)
  • Universal seal (designed to stick to most materials but not welded)
  • Need special machine to apply to container
  • Most effective way to prevent leakage, but it’s not 100%

Pressure Sensitive Liners for Plastic Tops

  • Never recommended for liquids
  • Made of polystyrene
  • Designed for use with dry products
  • Like a stronger post-it note
  • Not very sticky
  • Designed for tamper evidence
  • Very brittle by design, when liner is tampered with creases form in liner to show tamper evidence

Foam Liners for Plastic Lids

  • Good multipurpose liner
  • Enhances shelf life and sealing after it’s opened
  • The more you open and close the cap (over time), the less effective the liner becomes - Shelf life is very good though
  • Good Moisture barrier, but not leak proof
  • May help in a lot of cases but it is not designed specifically to prevent leakage in transit

Cosmetic Disc Liners

  • Mostly aesthetic
  • Helps keep barrier from outside, but not as effective as other liners
  • Best with dry products, creams, etc.
  • Best use is to keep the product off of the lid and inside the jar where it belongs
  • Best used with an unlined cap
